There was a time in my life when I thought I was a great mom because I was successful in my career and able to provide for my son. One day, God showed me that the life I was living was low-hanging fruit compared to the life He had for my son and me. He revealed that I wasn’t truly living up to His standard of motherhood. When we measure our lives to the world’s standards, we. An often become content with less than God’s best.

That realization convicted me deeply. I stopped simply raising my son and began discipling him. But first, I had to become a disciple myself, because you can’t make a disciple without being one. God gave me a course correction. A lot had to change, and it wasn’t easy, but it made all the difference.

I’m proud of the life my son and I live now—a life filled with peace, love, joy, and integrity. We love Jesus, and Jesus knows us. Mother’s Day has been different ever since because I know I am becoming the mother God is calling me to be for my son. Again, motherhood isn’t easy and resining a son in this world is tough but Holy Spirit is my helper, and He helps me be a beautifully built mom. 🤍
