When the Promise Doesn't Match the Process

Not every season is filled with sunshine and rainbows.

Lately, life has felt progressively more difficult. What's made it even more challenging is that, at the same time, I've received prophetic words about what God is doing and where He's taking me—words that seem completely opposite of what I'm experiencing right now.

If I'm honest, it's been confusing.

How do you hold on to a promise when your reality doesn't look anything like it? How do you keep believing when the process feels harder than ever? How do you reconcile what God said with what you're currently seeing?

Those are the questions I've been wrestling with.

Maybe you've been there too.

The truth is, there are seasons when God's promises and our present circumstances seem to be telling two different stories. But I've learned that just because I can't see the promise unfolding doesn't mean God has stopped working.

Sometimes the greatest work He's doing isn't changing our circumstances—it's preparing us to carry the very thing He promised. So if your reality doesn't match the prophecy, don't lose heart. Stay faithful. Keep trusting. The process may not look like the promise, but God has never failed to fulfill His Word.

In this season, I've had to constantly remind myself who I'm trusting. Not a person. Not a paycheck. Not my own ability. I'm trusting the God of all creation.

If He made a promise, He is more than able to do exactly what He said—and even more than I could ever imagine.

So whatever God has spoken to you, settle it in your heart, your mind, and your soul: He has not forgotten. His timing is perfect, His Word is true, and what He promised is on the way.

Keep trusting. Keep obeying. Keep believing.
